Danielle Bradbery a 16 year old country singing dynamo with pitch perfect pipes captured the Season 4 crown on The Voice Tuesday night.
Now can she ride high on the music charts
Bradbery a native of Cypress Texas became the youngest ever winner of The Voice which was dominated by country singers this season.
I'm so thankful she said wiping tears from her eyes after her name was announced by host Carson Daly. I'm speechless.
Michelle Chamuel the bespectacled geek turned rocker chick finished second while the Swon Brothers a country singing duo from Oklahoma took third on NBC's popular singing competition.
It was also a big night for Blake Shelton who was celebrating his
37th birthday. The country superstar mentored both Bradbery and the Swon Brothers and collected his third straight victory as a coach. Previous winners under his guidance were Season 2's Jermaine Paul and last season's Cassadee Pope.Chamuel was mentored by Usher a first year coach on The Voice.
The shy Bradbery came into the show with no professional experience. But during the audition round she sang a Taylor Swift song and prompted three coaches to turn their chairs.
As the weeks rolled on Bradbery became a fan favorite with her sweet disposition and highly polished mid tempo ballads. And long before Monday's final performance night arrived she was widely considered to be the show's front runner.
She's also
considered to be the most marketable winner produced by The Voice which unlike its rival American Idol has failed to make a major dent on the music charts. With her youth and what Rolling Stone called a girl next door meets pageant queen look Bradbery has a good shot at changing that. Her performances during The Voice routinely racked up big numbers on the iTunes charts. The bloated two hour finale featured a range of musical stars including Bruno Mars Pitbull Christina Aguilera Nelly Florida Georgia Line Bob Seger Hunter Hayes and Cher. The latter performed Woman's World the first single of her upcoming album of the same name.
Bradbery sang Sara Evans' Born to Fly to close the show.
