Wimbledon 2013 live

12.47 Keys is absolutely nailing the carbohydrate gels during the breaks in play. I would even argue she is consuming to excess.

12.44 Bad news Heather fans. She's been broken and it's back to all square and 4 4. Can Keys capitalise by ramming the advantage home on her serve

12.42 It is my understanding that Kimiko Date Krumm has beaten Carina Wittheoft 6 0 6 2. First win of the day so congratulations are in order to the 1996 Wimbledon semi finalist.

12.38 Wow cracking nerve from Watson. She digs in and avoids being broken. Not only that but Watson also leads the second set 4 2.

12.32 Right back to the tennis. Brave Heather who holds a slender 3 2 lead in the second is on the verge of being broken in the sixth game of the set.

12.28 A specator sups on some champers at the AELTC. Shall we try and guess how much this retails at I'm gonna go for 11 without the strawberry 13 with. You

12.25 BBC talking about Heather Watson's taste in glossy American dramas that she developed while recovering from Glandular Fever. She likes the Sopranos and the Good Wife apparently.

12.24 Hang on a second...What's happening here. Watson has two break points And she takes her first opportunity with a delicate shot at the net Watson leads second set 2 1.

12.20 Watson has come out fighting in this second set people. If she can match her drive and determination levels with accuracy then she could carve open a way back into this match. Argh too many unforced errors from Watson and she's broken. Sloppy.

12.17 Ba boom Watson breaks Keys for the first time in the match. Quality start to the second from the Brit. She's not out of this one yet. Oh no folks. Watson leads second set 1 0.

12.16 A reminder that Serena Williams is on Centre Court at 1pm to take on the excellently named Mandy Minella.

12.14 Bad news Brave Heather fans. Madison Keys takes first set 6 3.

12.10 Pivotal moment in the first set as Keys successfully saves two break points. Watson is now serving with Keys 5 3 ahead.

12.08 A lot of empty seats on Court No 2 which is disappointing. What is a better use of time in SW19 than cheering on two excellent young athletes Pint in the Rose and Crown walk on the common and ice cream from the truck outside Cannizaro Park just off the top of my head. Can we send someone to these locations to round up the Court 2 ticketholders

12.04 An action shot of Our Brave Heather

12.02 He's prolific that Simon Briggs. Here's his latest nugget of insighft from Court No 2

12.00 The Wimbledon commentators on the BBC have recommended Watson use guerilla tactics to regain a grip on this match. That sounds incredibly violent to me and very unbecoming of a lady like tennis starlet. Keys leads 4 2 in the first set.

11.55 Heather Watson deep in concetration in the quick break between games. She's got to call upon all her grit and gumption to get back into this one. Keys serving for a two game lead in the first set. 3 2 to the American as it stands.

11.53 I 3 this picture of a sniffer dog doing his rounds before play

11.48 Oooh dear. Keys has broken Watson.

11.47 The hardest working man in tennis journalism Simon Briggs with some thoughts on this early match up

11.44 The BBC One coverage has decided that BBC pundits talking to BBC pundits is more interesting that actual British roses playing tennis. Pah I've gone rogue and am watching a feed of Our Heather. She is currently 1 0 up in the first set against Madison Keys who has the name of a Californian actress/pop star but the career of a promising athlete.

11.41 That Darcis bloke may have looked pretty happy when he beat Nadal yesterday but that's nothing compared to the smile on his face as Sue Barker handed him a copy of today's Telegraph Sport print supplement

11.37 Good morning and thanks for joining me for day two of the Wimbledon Championships. The sun is actually shining in south London today so the hordes of European tourists descending upon the borough of Merton actually have a reason for never taking their sunglasses off.

They need it to protect their eyes not just to look absurd on the London Underground.

The big story yesterday was Elena Baltacha's shock first round exit. Ha ha. I'm kidding. It was actually Rafael Nadal crashing out in the first round in a stunning straight sets reverse at the hands of Steve Darcis.

It was a complete shock. People are still walking around with stunned faces. But it's time to move on and concentrate on the future. Rafa's oolllllld news.

What's on the agenda today then Well Serena Williams Novak Djokovic and David Ferrer are the biggest names on show but there's also some Brit action too.

Laura Robson is on Centre Court later but early doors are attentions will be fixed on Heather Watson. Last week she gave an interview with Sky Sports which may have been the least convincing attempt at confidence I've ever seen

Of course I can win . Why would I be playing if I didn't think I could win it Especially with the women's game. It's different people winning the Slams all the time and I feel everyone has a shot.
